Electric cars
Learning to drive in an electric car gives you the same skill set as driving an automatic petrol car, and both result in an automatic category B (car) licence. So from that point of view, you can just consider me an automatic driving instructor.
However, I am a big fan of electric cars. They’re quiet, smooth to drive and have straightforward controls, so are ideal for learner drivers. If you want to know more about driving electric, including choosing a car and working out how to charge, I’m happy to talk this through with you. Of course, I don’t mind at all if you don’t want to drive electric once you’ve passed, and am equally happy to help you understand your petrol car.
